Apply liberally before sun exposure, as well as every day, both indoors and outdoors, on face and body skin, carefully avoiding membranous areas of eyes and nostrils. Spread and blend well.
When outdoors, reapply at least every 1 to 2 hours, after swimming or sweating and after towel drying.
Unless otherwise instructed by your pediatrician, sun avoidance is best for babies. As much as possible, keep children out of the sun. For children who need controlled sun exposure, follow your pediatrician's directions.
Notes:
UV exposure from the sun increases the risk of skin cancer, premature skin aging and other skin damage. It is important to decrease UV exposure by limiting time in the sun, wearing protective clothing, and using a sunscreen.
UV rays from the sun are made of UVB + UVA. It is important to protect against both UVB + UVA rays to prevent sunburn and other skin damage.
As much as possible, practice sun avoidance particularly for children and the photosensitive, and especially between 10AM-2PM (10:00-14:00).
Before using any product, test a tiny amount of it on skin (we omit allergens, but you or baby may be sensitive to an ingredient that isn't an allergen).
Introduce new products one at a time, with at least 3 days in between to make sure you/baby are not allergic.
Do not store in extreme temperatures, or in direct sunlight.
Do not (re)introduce removed portions of product or other substances into product.
As with all things, baby, consult your pediatrician.
As with all things skin, consult your dermatologist.

Stop use + consult your doctor in the unlikely event of discomfort or sensitivity.

Why are sunscreens such a bumpy issue? Quite a few sunscreens cause acne because they contain comedogenic ingredients (certain waxes, oils, emulsifiers). Others have actives with large molecules that clog the follicle pores. This is why it's so important to read the product's literature and use non-comedogenic formulations. Read More
